Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run: The Town of Taos Community Events, Taos Youth & Family Center, Taos Little League and Taos Men’s Adult Baseball League (MABL) will host a FREE Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run Competition for area youth on Saturday, April 27, 2019 starting at 11:00 AM.
New Mexico Wildlife Center Tour: We would like to invite you and your family to join us for an exciting and educational program on snakes and raptors. The New Mexico Wildlife Center Tour will be held at the Taos Youth & Family Center on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Movies On the Green: The Town of Taos Presents MOVIES ON THE GREEN! This year the movies will be held at two different locations, the first three movies will be located at the Taos Youth & Family Center Skating Rink and weather permitting the final four will be located at Kit Carson Park. Get the family together and enjoy a fun-filled evening with movies at Taos Youth & Family Center Rink and Kit Carson Park. The movies start at 7:00 PM and are FREE to the public. Albuquerque BioPark's Discover the BioPark: Albuquerque BioPark’s Discover the BioPark free outreach program, formerly known as Zoo To You is coming to the Taos Youth & Family Center on June 27, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Get eye to eye with beautiful birds, small mammals, amazing amphibians and reptiles. Zoo staff and volunteer teachers called docents will guide you through this traveling exhibit of animals and hands-on biofacts – including bones, pelts, feathers, shells and other interesting animal items – as you learn about conservation.
Be part of the community tradition "El Viboron": The Town of Taos Community Events and Taos Youth & Family Center wants you to be part of “El Viboron” for the Fiesta de Taos Children’s Parade on Saturday, July 20, 2019. We will meet at Enos Garcia Elementary School at 9:00 AM. Participants will receive a t-shirt. Children of all ages are welcomed; bring your friends and parents too.
Home Town Fourth of July Celebration: A SPECTACULAR fireworks display hosted by the Taos Volunteer Fire Department will illuminate the evening. This celebration will offer locals and visitors a safe, patriotic fun-filled experience. The BEST viewing of the fireworks show will be from Kit Carson Park.
Touch A Truck: The Town of Taos Community Events and the Taos Youth & Family Center invite you to join us in celebrating the 20th Annual Town of Taos Touch-A-Truck! The event will take place at the Taos Youth & Family Center located at 407 Paseo del Canon East on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Taos Youth Flight Rally: Taos, New Mexico — Saturday, September 7, 2019 — Area youth ages 8-17 will have a chance to take to the skies on Saturday, September 7, 2019, as Taos Aviation Services, Taos Local Pilots, Taos Regional Airport, Town of Taos Community Events and Town of Taos Visitor Center hosts its 11th Annual Taos Youth Flight Rally at the Taos Regional Airport.
Taos Halloween Community Event: On Thursday, October 31, 2019, from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, the ghoulish fun will be spilled out from the Taos Plaza over to Teresina Lane, to Juan Largo Lane, slithering its way to the John Dunn Shops and Bent Street. The event will provide the children of Taos with a fun, safe, supervised Halloween Event.
U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree to Visit Taos: Festivities during the tree’s stop to Taos on November 11, 2019 will include: Welcome by Mayor Daniel Barrone, Invocation and Holiday Greetings by Taos Pueblo Governor Richard Aspenwind, Taos Pueblo Warchief Bernard Lujan, Presentation of Colors VFW Post #3259, Taos County Manager Brent Jaramillo, Deputy District Ranger Ricardo Martinez, Questa District Ranger Jack Lewis, Mariachi El Tigre under direction of Norberto Martinez, Nick Branchal and Audrey Davis. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be present to hand out special surprises for the first 150 kids. Children can create their own 2019 U.S. Capitol Christmas paper ornament. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Activities are open to the public and free for all to enjoy.
33rd Annual Yuletide Tree Lighting: The 2019 Town of Taos Christmas Season officially kicks off with the lighting of our Town Christmas tree during the 33rd Annual Yuletide Tree Lighting Event on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Taos Plaza. Join Mayor Dan Barrone, our Town Council and the wonderful community of Taos at this annual event!
Ornament & Craft Making: Ornament and Craft Making with Mrs. Claus and Taos Community Volunteer Elves. Christmas is coming up and the Town of Taos is teaming up with Wal-Mart to help children of all ages make Christmas ornaments for their Christmas tree or to give as Christmas presents. Ornament & Craft Making will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Taos Youth & Family Center located at 407 Paseo del Canon, East.
