Pool Rules
In the interest of the health and safety of those using the pool. The following rules must be observed by all.
Swimming Pool Rules
- A good soap shower must be taken before entering pool.
- All orders given by lifeguards or those in authority must be obeyed immediately.
- Only swim wear is allowed in pool, no t-shirts or cutoffs.
- Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over)
- Everyone under 18 must pass a swim test to be allowed in deep end.
- Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over) in the main pool.
- Children under 5 must be within arms reach of an adult (18 or over) in & out of the water.
- Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult in the locker room. Family changing rooms are available.
- Items not permitted in pool area include:
- Drinks
- Food
- Glass
- Gum
- Pets
- Smoking
Actions Not Permitted
The following shall not be permitted:
- Any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Diving
- Dunking
- Peeing or nose blowing in pool
- Persons with blisters, open sores etc.
- Pushing
- Running
- Spitting in pool or on pool deck
- Swearing, fighting, or wrestling
- Talking to or distracting lifeguards on duty
- Towel Snapping
Town of Taos is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Water Slide Rules
- A person must be 42 inches or taller in height or be able to pass swim test with lifeguard.
- Only one person at a time may be on the slide.
- Slide sitting up or lying on your back.
- Always enter the pool feet first.
- Swim directly to the ladder.
- Wait for previous water slide patron to reach the ladder.
Actions Not Permitted
The following shall not be permitted:
- Hanging from water slide
- Running off the slide
- Sliding head first
- Sliding with a partner
- Standing directly under or in front of the slide
