Town of Taos Chief of Police  A Message From the Chief of Police

The Town of Taos is a vibrant, eclectic, and forward thinking community that is made up of a unique combination of the many cultures that represent our society.  This diversification and commitment to excellence is directly reflected by the preservation of the Town’s historical and cultural aspect, while still moving forward in a progressive manner in an effort to improve the community’s quality of life and the Town’s infrastructure.

It is an extreme honor and privilege to serve as the Chief of Police for the Town of Taos and represent an agency dedicated to providing for the safety and security of our community. The Taos Police Department will work diligently to fulfill these obligations, while adhering to the following Core Values:

  • Community Focused
  • Respect for Each Other
  • Worthy of Trust
  • Always Improving

As your Chief of Police, it is my commitment to provide a professional, well trained, and efficiently managed police agency which is dedicated to protecting the lives and property of the Town of Taos, as well as our residents and visitors.  It is our intention to work together with the Town Government, community members, and business leaders in an effort to bring about peace and harmony, while addressing the problems facing our community.  Together we will make Taos the perfect location for families to live, tourists to visit, and businesses to develop and grow.
