New Time for Regular Council Meetings!
The Town Council has amended the Open Meetings Act so the regular council meetings will begin at 9:30 in the morning instead of 6:30 in the evening.

Town Hall Under Construction:
The expansion of Town Hall is underway for the coming year. Click here for a map to help you readily locate public parking, utility bill drop, and entrance -- all temporarily at the back of Town Hall on the side facing the Taos Public Library.

The Town of Taos has earned the designation as a Fair Trade Town. Earlier this year Town Council Members passed a resolution and enacted stringent guidelines to prepare for the coveted designation. Taos is the first Fair Trade Town in New Mexico, the first in the Western United States, and the fifth nationally. Investing in the Future
The Town of Taos sponsored a Town Hall Meeting to present "Investing in the Future," a study done by New Markets Development. The study was commissioned by the Town of Taos and Presented by Horacio Trujillo Martinez and Seth Miller of New Markets Development.

Below are two versions of the final report. The first version is the highly detailed and technical copy of the original report. The second is a summary of the report prepared by New Markets Development for the Public Assembly.
